Manduka eKO Lite Yoga Mat, Midnight, 3mm, 68"
So goes the process of gathering my supplies for India. I was lucky enough to have a great contact help me with lists, how tos, and amazing advice about this trip. She put all my worries to rest, and helped me feel safe about my decision to buy a ticket and go to India by myself. I will be forever grateful to her for her help and advice.
One of her big pieces of advice was to bring my own yoga mat. She said the yoga mats in India are garbage, communal, and not worth the frustration. She also said, travel mats are not comfortable enough to use for the hours daily that we will be doing yoga. And I have two yoga mats, both Lululemon, one is my home practice mat, The Mat, it's a GREAT mat, but way too heavy, and the other is my teaching mat, which is a reversible black mat, I forget the name, that I don't want to lose, or get dirty, and it seems heavier than 4lbs. So... I have always wanted a Manduka yoga mat, and took this opportunity to get an eko lite 4mm in midnight. I haven't taken it out of the plastic yet, but I will write a review when I have put it to the test in India.
