A Thought is Just a Thought

I bought Full Catastrophe Living last summer when my stepmom and I were coming home from one of her chemo treatments. She is a big Stephen King fan, and she bought 3 of his big books, I don't know which ones. I remember thinking, how will she ever have time to read those.

Turns out, I haven't had time to read this! And because I'm so exhausted lately, I decided to download the audiobook and have the author, Jon Kabat-Zinn, read it to me as I clean, tidy, pack, and rest.

I haven't listened to all of it yet, however, I do like his ideas about meditation. I am happy I have a hard copy of his book because I would have had to take a lot of notes when I was listening if I didn't. One thing I love that he says is, you are going to feel uncomfortable, you are going to want to not be still in the moment, you are going to want to move, do something else, be somewhere else, but it's just a feeling, invite it in, accept it, it's ok.

Wise words to take with me when I'm travelling alone in the next few weeks.
